RWE Projects 2014 (S2)
Real World Economics (RWE) MADE Projects are now in their second year and we are happy to release an updated and expanded list of potential projects. RWE Projects are a student led initiative where economics students have the opportunity to get hands on experience attempting to solve a real problem or issue in the New Zealand economy. We will allocate you into teams of four with like-minded students based on your top three preferences from the provided list of projects below. Projects 2014 are not only intended for economics students and students from all faculties are welcome to participate.
Please remember that the list does not end here; a senior economics student will meet with you at the beginning of the project and help you to finalise the scope of your project. They will also assist you at weekly meetings with your groups as you progress with your research and the development of your groups report. The culmination of this report will end in a presentation evening which will be judged by several departmental lecturers and economists from various government organisations.
This is a great way for you to get co-curricular experience in group work, research and applying everything you have learnt over the years in economics class rooms and lecture theaters to the outside world!
Registrations are now closed - we look forward to seeing those who have signed up.
The list of RWE Projects 2014 is located below.
